Due to the years of outstanding watch creating IWC (the International Watchmaking Company) amazed the world wristwatch experts and usual people by the high quality of its products. It was founded in Switzerland where the earliest wristwatches were produced. There were developed the sacred secrets of their skills. And some years later, the corporation had to move to Germany where they began the production of their famous wristwatch models.
The earliest world success the company achieved was concerned to the release of a famous Pilot’s Watch model. This watch got popular among professional airmen as well as among the watch experts. The first release of the Pilot’s Watch took place in 1936. The proposal of producing a wristwatch for aviators was done by Junkers & Co. They were a contemporary company those times and endeavored to provide all the conveniences to pilots and to make the flights safety.
In 1967 the IWC introduced their next model named the Aquatimer. Following its custom of creating wristwatches for occupational purposes they created a watch that might be carried during diving.
The novelty of Aquatimer was in its rotating bezel that was located within. As a rule this element was placed externally and IWC manufactured their modern resolution of the construction. This timepiece was a big step ahead for IWC that established new standards for diving wristwatches. This watch was used by Jacque-Yves Cousteau in his movies about diving and that was a great advertisement to the pattern. The Aquatimer made IWC company the most famous watch corporation in the world owing to its fame.
